ABOUT TCR

The Chekhov Review is a literature and arts magazine run by students at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Currently, the magazine publishes a broad range of both fiction and nonfiction genres from students, faculty, alumni, and anyone else associated with Feinberg. Eventually, we hope to expand our reach to the wider Chicago community, the rest of the country, and perhaps the rest of the world.

TCR takes its inspiration, vision, and mission from Russian playwright, short-story writer, cultural critic, and physician Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860 - 1904). Both in his capacity as a writer and as a physician, Chekhov was, and remains, revered for his meticulous attention to detail; his deep concern for the individual, for their joys and their suffering; and his commitment to serving, to healing, to exalting and uplifting the least fortunate among us.

We encourage you to find out more about Chekhov and explore his works and life, starting here: The University of Illinois Bibliographic Guide to Anton Chekhov.
